Time is all we don't have?

Time is all we don't have?

I enjoy hearing people say to me “Thomas,...” because that's my name; “Thomas, time is all we have!” As I agree with this to a point, I believe it takes more effort to live with that mentality. I am an Aries, so I see each moment as our last. Embracing what may come or is here now. I look at time as moments we have lost. If I looked at it as “Time is all we have” then I would be less motivated than I am. I don't have all the time in the world. I have a select amount of time bound to me and I am not even aware of how much that is. Which is kind of scary, but so much fun if you think about it. I don't want to think about, yes I do, no I don't!

That feeling of when could it be is amazing. Thus, I enjoy living each day as my last. I truly do have an addiction to having fun. Fun to me is watching a movie or a TV show that entertains me. Hanging out with a few friends and thinking, talking and making laughter pour out of my body. Fun is being in the moment, living without stress. Those bills, you know the ones we worry about, will be there after I am dead. So, forget-a-bout-it! Take in the moment. This means I still must be prepared for anything. To get the most out of my life I must always remember my purpose.

My foundation, my Triangle of life, my Needs that help focus my dreams and goals. I am aware of my personal S.M.A.R.T. Goals while also living with a free mentality. These things keep me grounded with direction yet give me the freedom to do as I wish in my life. If I didn't follow these rules I would be working a normal job everyday to keep my life in the status quo. That is not the life I want. I created my freedom by setting up a foundation first. I once worked three jobs at one time. Talk about insanity. I am glad I am where I am now. Own my own companies, invest as needed, and get to entertain thousands if not tens of people every month!

Day 120 of 365

• Day 120 of 365

Inspire, involve, evolve, and motivate! That's what we are seeing in our fourth month of excitement. Wow, four months have gone by. Each month seems incredibly unlikely that our plan is working. It is almost too far fetch that our task at hand, our game plan filled with such Specific S.M.A.R.T. Goals has lead us to this amazing moment. With each of the comedians making headway on their own frontier, our Top of the Bottom Pile adventure continues to gain momentum in a very positive way.

One major thing we really wanted to have happen was inspiration. Our actions were meant to see the thriving nature of success inside people grow and be motivated. Wishfully believing if we began a venture to success through a very unique perspective that others might follow in suit. So is happening, and we are excited others are joining the ranks of doing instead of just performing. However, the needs and wants which lead to success are much more difficult than trying. There is a strategy and we will focus on maintaining our momentum forward.

With the Top of the Bottom Pile website hitting some great numbers, our Brand value is feeling pretty good! I think some of the most exciting stuff has come from, not performing, but us meeting new people, designing our purpose to be more and more specific. We are even going to begin the podcast show we have been really pushing for. Who knows, one day we might look back eight months from now and say “If we never started when we did, we would have never gotten where we are now.” I love what we are doing as a team. Support the cause pile style!

Consumed in darkness

(A fifth entry from the mind of Lord Telmorn Altayon. Follow his fears, his strengths... ~ Thomas J. Bellezza)

• Consumed in darkness

Pleasantly pure in sightless anger. Where light fears secrets in serenity’s silence. Touching tightly together tears taught to tangle till the thievery tales take traitorous thought tonight. Banish me in forever if all I am gifted are rants of misery, or passions of poison. Hearing her, or lashes on carrying backs left to peel of skin while bells peal through their wounded ears. Together we can leave the rest behind and question not our cowardly cares dictated by others misinformed perception. To hands of horror or the sands of time, take a stance against the crimes of tomorrow.

What did I forget?

• What did I forget?

A lot of the time when I am working on my craft I forget there are other things going on. My favorite part of being a consultant at BBR Productions Inc. is listening to people's lives. Everyone has a grand dream they wish to accomplish and that actually inspires me. With all this dreaming going on, maybe I should dream a little more too. I some times forget that I have other passions that might have fallen behind the couch. Which is kind of sad. I do not believe I will ever get back into drawing. I am not as excited about it, but I do miss it.

Getting to the point of my life began with retraining my thought process. At one point or another I was that person who always looked at others and said “I am better than them, why are they up there, I should be up there performing”... or even better, “If only the right people saw me!”. Well the truth is, no matter how great you are it doesn't matter. Your strengths must be in Networking and Marketing yourself. Of course you should be good at what you do, but it is not the only thing that leads to success.

So I got a nice email from a friend in the movie business asking me if I would like to audition for a lead role. I was extremely excited to do anything for this person, since I truly do appreciate their friendship. She was wonderful in the audition process and made me feel completely comfortable. I kept remembering if I got it or not that my being there was already a victory. I got to work on auditioning (Practicing), see a friend and others I didn't know (Networking), and also handout my personal business card (Marketing). I'd call that a win!

Day 97 of 365

• Day 97 of 365

The beauty of team work changes everything. It helps each other fight any fears, or learn from the experience of one another. Having the strengths of individuals helping the weakness of others. We all have skills and in one week over 3 months, Top Of The Bottom Pile is completely accomplishing goals. We have set out to brand and network in this first 365 days. When shows come to us, we'll take them as opportunities for marketing our b rand, and getting the proper PR to help establish our motion forward. Things I have fallen in love with is our comradery. We respect one another, and we are here for guidance. Molding our sets, great feedback, and most importantly teamwork in strides.

Some things that have helped is our outreach to people we respect in the business. Those working hard to maintain success, and help others. I love our video interview project we have set in motion. The first being with Jeff Lawrence from Laughing Buddha Comedy. We ave another interview in the bag, and will release that next month in February. The purpose of that is to show our respect to these individuals while helping build their brand and us ours. The power of networking! Everyone wins, and best of all, people learn things from these interviews. It's very exciting. The other venture is our push next month to increase our interviews and interaction.

We are splitting the workload into groups, as there are 4 main members who have the time to do so. Making contacts in press, radio and other avenues, we'll continue to maintain a stride forward. Our social media numbers continue to grow each week on an average of 33 people for all our social outlets. With seven outlets, all going each week, things are looking up for Top of the Bottom Pile! A few outsiders may have said that we need to perform more. Performance is for the growth of your skill as a joke teller and performer. Our company is about growing the brand while we build our skill. In the process of this we shall continue to enrich our networking relationships with people.

This world grows with unity!

Working out, kind of

• Working out, kind of

I have been very bad with my working out. I was formerly an avid workout kind of person. 5 days a week spent eating correctly and really pushing to make sure I hit the gym everyday. I find myself slacking in other areas of working out too; writing, comedy, music, rest and relaxation, and meditation. These things help guide me, focus me, make me a better person to accomplish goals that I have set before me. It is my job to maintain a healthy life, a growing life and a purpose beyond being successful. I began my slack in life when I came back from Florida. Yes I am working hard and getting things completed, but I am forgetting to work hard on myself.

Slowly but surely the gym has become something of a once every two week visit; my personal goal is 3 times a week to begin with. But even if I hit the gym twice a week, that is more than zero. With comedy (working with Top of the Bottom Pile) I've been practicing more. I also have a new bass player to work with which is motivating me to play again. So without finding the time, Anthony has pushed me to pick up the guitar and start singing again. I was also writing 15 blogs a week. Now I am only writing this one and who knows how much time has gone by. Change comes from being aware, so let me get on the path of awareness.

Being successful in this business will always begin with self. Without me, there would be nothing else. Take care of your body, your mind and your soul. These things are your vehicle, control and moral understanding of your personal barometer. Sometimes you need a good partner nagging you to do what is correct so you don't falter. So respect those who care enough to remind you when you are slacking and lack motivation. Start doing something once a day, or even a few minutes a day. When I was younger I practiced guitar 8 hours a day (Being young with no responsibilities, yay!). Now if I hit 15 minutes, I'm still doing it right.

An interview with Jeff Lawrence

• Interview of Jeff Lawrence!!!

Recently I've had the pleasure of interviewing Jeff Lawrence; owner of Laughing Buddha Comedy (LBC). I took the boys from the Top of the Bottom Pile tour and we headed out to New York City to sit in the beautiful Village Lantern so we could record an insightful 5 minutes of "How success came to Jeff and LBC".

Talking about dealing with comedy classes, networking and the idea that you have to stand out were some of the topics we glanced over. I enjoyed his conversation, energy, and of course that wonderful Buddha smile!
