Poetry

• Poetry

Where does poetry come from? Is it an art form? Poetry of life is an answer to a questions I have been seeking since I could remember. How things flow, why they flow, who moves us the most? It comes from our passion when we least expect. Sitting before a blank page until words dance out into an every laying grave. That seemed a tad morose, so I digress, open your thoughts to moving effort.

I look at poetry as action. If on paper or through movement. We create poetry when we interact fluently with others. Helping people find ways to connect to their dreams, or even when a person simply is motivated by a little smile. We can paint the world together if we choose to move rhythmically upon it. Let music flow silently inside you through your desires, pounding in your heart.

Become a deafening advance on the world around you. When the world stops moving, and humans no longer exist, let our history be known in the memory of our spirits. Remain in life because your purpose was recognized. Add to the people of Earth, and touch the energy of chance. I am happy to become the poetry I seek in life and I wish for you to find yours.

Cave upon me your willingness
And I shall lift your worries away
Touch what I cannot see today
Inspiring my dreams of sun rays

Lifting emptiness in full reach
Our arms stronger if we preach
No war can come from friends
Life will praise peace hand in stand

Yes, no, I understand...

• “Yes, no, I understand...”

One of my pet peeves is yessing me to death to get me through my thought. More important is my time when I am out and about doing my rounds. We are all very important people because we are people. People have value, therefore they are important. That doesn't mean they are annoyingly unaware of their time. Most are. Every second is worth a thousand lifetimes to a person on their deathbed, and here we are, some, if not most, eating up our time doing things we don't love, or understand.

Recently read a really nice passage. “Most people know what they do, some know how they do it, but very few understand why.” Come on, that is beautiful. So I got to thinking, what do I do? I am an entertainer first and a consultant second. How do I do it? I keep busy networking, marketing, and practicing my craft while maintaining my Triangle of life. Why do it I do it? Because I enjoy creating from nothing and to work my butt off until I have so much power I can help others get to the top!

What does this all mean? It means I am very passionate about speaking my mind when it comes to helping / guiding people. When I hear a person going down the road taken most it worries me. They are giving up their precious minutes based on rules and ideas they don't understand. Hopefulness is scary to me. I want to see everyone with a dream succeed. I wish I had a person who knew what I know in the beginning to tell me. Wait, I did! I had mentors and they all got me to where I am today!

Live your minutes away, don't waste them in naivety.

Present in the presence of self

• Present in the presence of self

Another year filled up with memories that were born through action! With goals set for myself, it is time to reflect on my life. Let us not shy away from how and why we are here today in the present. That being present is a gift all in itself. There are those fighting to stay alive, others holding on, and even people living fully but not actually living the life they want. Our presence in life is a present in the present time. It is during this time a person can look back and learn from their history.

Is this the life I want? Is this the life where I was leading myself? What life do I want? Where do I want to be in another 365 years?

I love questions. It's fun to hear and answer questions. Even in the sight of no conclusion every question has an answer. When you hear a person say “I don't have the time” or “That will take forever”, I've said it more than once before in my postings; Where were you four years ago? Where were you a year ago!? It is important to be self aware. If you start now, then you will find yourself four years later doing something you love. To accomplish goals you need to set them.

There were goals I completed; Join SAG / Act more / Build my comedy brand / Expand my clientele for BBR Productions Inc. / See more of my clients doing things. These things were important to my year. Excelling in each made my life feel more complete. Living in Brooklyn is a goal within itself. Where will I see my life in another 365 days!? Touring, moving forward with my TV Series, my book getting published and of course the most important thing; Being Present and enjoy the moments I am having.
